Position Summary:

The main purpose of is to cook meals for Residents in the Villa Marguerite and Gravelle dining rooms. Team Member is responsible to follow safe cooking practices and to take direction from the Director of Food Services. A variety of culinary tasks will be required as well as standard cleaning tasks. May also be required to assist in food ordering, receiving, storage.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar position.
• Journeyman’s Cook Certificate and /or recognized cooking program is an asset, not required for this position
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and general safety.
• Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to stay focused
• Ability to prioritize tasks, keeping track of what is required and at what time.
• Reliable with attendance, working all scheduled shifts in their entirety.
• Must be able to work independently or as a part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Clear Criminal Record Check (no more than 6 months old).
