The Innovative Housing Society Community is constantly growing and therefore is always looking for caring individuals to join our team. IHS currently employees approximately 150 Team members who each and every day touch the lives of people in their community.

This is an exciting opportunity for you as an LPN to continue to grow your scope of practice and develop a variety of skills in an exciting and fast paced environment.

As an LPN at Innovative Housing Society you can count on being part of a Team that is focused on delivering top notch care to Residents and interacting in a Multidisciplinary environment. You will be part of a Team that is focused on enriching our Resident’s mind, body and soul.

You will develop and use your leadership skills, work to a full scope of practice and experience rewarding interactions with Residents and Team Members. New grads are welcome.

Qualifications:

Current LPN License (in good standing with CLPNA)
Current CPR – Level ‘C’ required
Clear Criminal Record Check (including vulnerable sector – within last 6 months)
Previous experience with DAL is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Position Summary:
 
The HCA is responsible for ensuring the general wellbeing of residents though the delivery of high-quality services in a manner that is consistent with the policies, procedures, and philosophies of Innovative Housing Society. The HCA will provide basic assessment and treatments, personal care, medication administration, and delegated health services to the residents, as well as providing support and direction to the Care Services Team. The HCA will at all times demonstrate support of IHS’ policies and procedures, and conduct themselves in a professional manner in all situations.
 
Qualifications:
 
Recognized HCA certificate
Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
Valid C.P.R and first aid certificate (must be obtained within one month of employment)
Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old).
Must be physically fit to perform lifting and transferring and able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Appropriately dressed – nurses uniform.
Must be able to work independently or as a part of the interdisciplinary team.
Related experience an asset.
